BUCYRUS—A Bucyrus man was sentenced to a decade in prison on Wednesday in
Crawford County Common Pleas Court after a jury of his peers found him guilty of
reckless homicide and tampering with evidence.

Zachery Cole, 29, was found guilty of the charges at his trial on Jan. 29 that involved
the death of 28-year-old Guilianno Yamani.

Yamani was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound March 15, 2024, at 10:49 p.m.
when officers were called to 817 South Highland Ave. for a reported shooting.
Following the guilty verdict, Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney Matthew Crall
released a statement detailing the complexities of the three-day trial.

“The prosecution, led by Assistant Prosecutors Ryan Hoovler and Dan Stanley,
successfully navigated a difficult factual situation involving the Outlaw Biker clubhouse
shooting,” said Crall in his press release. “The state’s evidence focused on Cole’s
reckless handling of a firearm while intoxicating beverages were being consumed at the
South Highland Avenue location.”

Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Cole to three years in prison for the firearm
specification plus three years for the reckless homicide conviction and three years in
prison for tampering with evidence plus one year on a firearm specification. The
sentences are to be served consecutively for a total of 10 years in prison.

Cole will receive credit for 12 days he has already served in jail and will face up to three
years of post-release control upon his release from prison.

While Cole was represented by Mansfield attorney James J. Mayer III in his original
case, attorney William Cramer was appointed to represent him if he files an appeal.
