BUCYRUS — A local family has purchased two Bucyrus businesses with one shared mission: to serve the city and surrounding communities with quality, honesty and hometown pride. The Nash family is now at the helm of Trinco Auto Repair and Trinity Monuments, both located at 1650 Marion Road.
A high-energy dad of two, softball coach, and the Postmaster of Bucyrus, Steve Nash is embracing the family’s new role as owners of the two businesses. “We want to offer modern services but keep our small-town values,” Steve said.

Steve oversees the auto repair side while his mother, Shanna Nash, leads Trinity Monuments. He remains closely involved in both—especially when it comes to technology upgrades designed to make service simpler for customers.
“Customers are now able to book appointments online for their auto repair,” Steve said. “They receive a text confirming their appointment time and date, then a reminder text before the appointment. If they need to reschedule, they can do that online any time—without waiting for business hours. It’s more convenient for our customers.”
Trinco Auto Repair provides full-service automotive care supported by digital tools. “We offer digital vehicle inspections, which means customers get photos, video and color-coded recommendations when issues are found while we have their vehicle,” Steve said. “That way, customers can see what we see and make an informed decision about what repairs to do now and what can wait.”
Recommendations are sent directly to a customer’s phone, where they can approve or decline repairs digitally. “There’s no pressure, and they have a record of what they chose,” Steve said. Customers can also pay through mobile bill pay, and financing options are available through Affirm, Klarna and Sunbit (approval and terms vary by provider).
For after-hours convenience, Trinco offers secure key pickup. “If someone needs to pick up a vehicle after we’re closed, we set them up with a unique lockbox code,” Steve said.
Communication runs through the entire process. “Customers receive real-time text updates,” Steve said, noting that they can also text questions directly to the shop. In addition, 24/7 messaging through the business website connects to the Trinco team’s phones so a message never sits unseen overnight.
The Nash family has broadened the team to match the expanded vision. In addition to Shanna, the roster includes Steve’s sister, Sierra Nash, who supports day-to-day operations across both businesses; Steve’s girlfriend, Kelsey Kruse, who helps as needed; his aunt, Lisa Nash Musselman, who manages the front desk for both businesses; and Brad Rhodes, a certified NASCAR mechanic. Trinco is accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and completed services are reported to Carfax. “Every repair is reported,” Steve said. “When someone wants to sell or trade in their vehicle, it’s easy to show maintenance history—new tires, oil changes, and more.”
For commercial customers, Trinco offers a fleet program with tiered labor rates and Net-30 billing to support companies that manage several vehicles.
Steve is also helping Shanna modernize the experience on the monuments side. “I know and understand grief, so we want to help our customers as much as possible,” said Shanna Nash, who became a widow at 34 when her husband, Jeff Nash, passed away. “Sometimes when people are deep in their grief, they may not feel like coming in, but they still need to make decisions.”
To meet families where they are, Steve has developed an online design tool that allows people to create and customize monuments from home. “We can even meet by Zoom,” Shanna said. “Families can choose designs, fonts and options at their own pace.”
Trinity Monuments specializes in custom memorials, monuments, benches and cremation memorials. Families can track production status in real time, so they always know where their memorial is in the process. A forthcoming feature will let families create a memorial page for their loved one—sharing stories, photos and key information with pre-approved comments to keep the space supportive and secure. The page will also help visitors locate gravesites for family and friends.
While the two businesses are different, Shanna said they share a common approach. “We’re under one roof, and our goals for the community are the same,” she said. Recently, the family filled 60 book bags with school supplies for local children. “It’s important to us to give back any way we can.”
Steve added that the family is focused on earning trust, not pulling people away from relationships they already value. “We’re not asking anyone to leave a shop where they feel comfortable,” he said. “But if you’re looking for a new place—or a solid second option—give us a try.”
The Nash family’s mission is to keep investing in Bucyrus—through both Trinco Auto Repair and Trinity Monuments. “For us, it’s about serving neighbors with honesty and value,” the family said.
