BUCYRUS—A 33-year-old Bucyrus man will spend years behind bars after being sentenced in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on multiple child pornography-related charges.
Bryan Deaton was sentenced to a minimum of 17 years to a maximum of 21 years in prison after previously pleading no contest to six counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving a minor and nine counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor. All 15 charges are second-degree felonies.
In addition to his prison sentence, Deaton must register as a Tier II sex offender upon his release from prison and ordered to forfeit illicit pornography to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. He was also ordered to pay court costs and will receive credit for 372 days already served in jail.
Deaton was arrested April 7, 2025, after investigators executed a search warrant at his Bucyrus home during a child pornography investigation.
