In fact, due to the confusion, the Band Boosters were incredibly close to canceling. We’ve verified that tickets are still available online. Please read on to see why this night is so vital for our local students.
Bucyrus is gearing up for a night of nostalgia as the third annual Mom Prom, hosted by the Bucyrus Band Boosters, returns with a playlist packed full of favorite hits from the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. The event will take place Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at The Venue, located at 1205 E. Mansfield Street.
Guests are invited to dress in their favorite gown—or simply come as they are—for an evening of dancing, laughter, and community support. Tickets are $25.00 and are available online now. Please note: There will be no ticket sales available at the door.
More Than Just a Dance
Band Booster Shelli Holtzapfel Ashley shared that proceeds from the event will help replace the band’s aging uniforms, which have been in use for more than 30 years. The Boosters are also working to renovate their food booth, used on Friday evenings to feed both home and visiting bands during the season.
In addition to these efforts, the organization continues to provide instruments, music, and financial support for competitions. Their reach has expanded in recent years to include the middle school band and choir, strengthening music education across the district.
