Crawford County Common Pleas Court Handles Burglary and Drug Cases in December

BUCYRUS — Throughout December, Crawford County Common Pleas Court has processed multiple cases involving drug offenses, burglary, and property damage. Defendants faced arraignments, bond hearings, and felony indictments across several sessions.

Dec. 4 Arraignment: Jacob Diosi Faces Burglary and Property Damage Charges

Jacob E. Diosi, 38, of Galion, was arraigned Dec. 4 on two charges stemming from an incident at AMVETS Post 1979, Galion. He is charged with Breaking and Entering, a fifth-degree felony, for the alleged entry into an unoccupied structure with intent to commit theft, and Criminal Damaging or Endangering, a second-degree misdemeanor, related to a Nov. 23 incident in which a security keypad and doorbell were allegedly damaged.

Diosi entered a not guilty plea. Neil Huggins was appointed as defense counsel. Magistrate Timothy Roston set bond at $25,000 cash or surety, and Diosi remains incarcerated at the Crawford County Justice Center.

Dec. 16 Court Session: Joseph C. Will Held Without Bond

Joseph C. Will, 46, homeless, faces one count of breaking and entering (F5) related to an alleged Dec. 5 incident involving an unoccupied structure and intent to commit theft.

Will was present during the Dec. 16 session and remains incarcerated at the Crawford County Justice Center with no bond. As of the hearing, no attorney had been entered on his behalf.

Dec. 18 Arraignment: Anthony Scenters Faces Nine-Count Drug Indictment

Anthony Scenters, 61, was arraigned Dec. 18 via video before Judge Sean E. Leuthold on a nine-count indictment tied to alleged drug activity in Crawford County. The charges include: Two counts of Aggravated Trafficking in Drugs (F4) involving methamphetamine Tampering with Evidence (F3) Multiple counts of Aggravated Possession of Drugs (F5), including fentanyl-related compounds Misdemeanor counts for possessing drug abuse instruments (M2) and illegal possession of drug paraphernalia (M4) Scenters entered a not guilty plea, Brad Starkey was appointed as defense counsel, and Judge Leuthold set bond at $175,000 cash or surety. Scenters remains incarcerated.

All defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. Further proceedings will be scheduled in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.
