BUCYRUS — Bond has been set for a New Washington man after he was arrested by Bucyrus Police on Oct. 29 in the 200 block of Hopley Avenue.
Michael D. Lawhun, 38, had his initial hearing in Crawford County Municipal Court on Thursday, where his bond was set at $75,000.

According to police, Lawhun was arrested during a traffic stop after K9 Capone indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle he was driving. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and approximately 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine were seized.
Lawhun is facing one count of trafficking in drugs, a third-degree felony, and one count of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Bucyrus attorney Andrew Motter was appointed to represent him, and his case is expected to be bound over to the Crawford County Grand Jury.
