BUCYRUS — A former executive director of the Galion-Crestline Area Chamber of Commerce pleaded not guilty Monday to multiple felony charges during an arraignment hearing in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.

Miranda Jones faces a first-degree felony count of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, along with several third-degree felony charges including money laundering, telecommunications fraud, and identity fraud. She is also charged with one count of grand theft and four counts of forgery.

Special Prosecutor Samuel Kirk from the Ohio Auditor of State’s Special Investigations Unit requested that Jones’ bond be set at $500,000, citing her prior conviction on similar charges in Wayne County. Jones previously served prison time for those offenses between 2007 and 2008.

Jones, represented by Mansfield attorney Cassandra Mayer, requested a lower bond to allow her to attend medical appointments.

Judge Sean Leuthold ultimately set her bond at $400,000.
