On January 15, Bryan A. Rimmer, 31, of Bucyrus, was sentenced to 20 to 24 years in prison after changing his plea in a case involving sexually oriented material depicting a minor.
Rimmer was first indicted on the charges on Nov. 4, 2025. The case had been scheduled for a jury trial on Jan. 23 before he changed his plea.
Rimmer was originally scheduled for a jury trial but instead entered a no contest plea to three counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, all second-degree felonies. As part of the plea agreement, seven additional counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor were dismissed.
Judge Sean E. Leuthold found Rimmer guilty on all three counts and imposed the prison sentence during sentencing proceedings in Crawford County Common Pleas Court. Rimmer received 82 days of jail-time credit.
In addition to the prison term, Rimmer was designated a Tier II sexual offender, ordered to pay court costs, and required to forfeit all illicit pornography and related property to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office.
Rimmer was represented by defense attorney John A. Motter.
