BUCYRUS — Crawford County Common Pleas Court addressed multiple felony cases during January proceedings, including drug offenses and an alleged domestic assault.

Charles Frazier Indicted on Drug and Assault Charges

Charles Frazier, 55, of Bucyrus, was indicted by a Crawford County grand jury on charges stemming from an incident on Dec. 24, 2025.

According to the indictment, Frazier is charged with aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, for allegedly knowingly possessing methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled substance. He is also charged with domestic violence for allegedly causing or attempting to cause physical harm to a family or household member.

Frazier appeared for arraignment on Jan. 12 before Judge Sean E. Leuthold. Represented by attorney Jerry W. Thompson, he entered not guilty pleas. Judge Leuthold issued a personal recognizance bond and ordered conditions of release, including no contact with the victims.

Lacy Jackson Sentenced in Cocaine Trafficking Case

Lacy Jackson, 39, of Galion, changed her plea to guilty on Jan. 14 in a case involving two counts of trafficking in cocaine, both fourth-degree felonies. Jackson had been indicted on April 22, 2025, and was represented by attorney James Mayer III.

Each count carried a possible sentence of six to eighteen months in prison and up to a $5,000 fine. Judge Leuthold sentenced Jackson to a total of 36 months in prison, with eight days of jail-time credit. She was ordered to pay court costs. Her bond was continued until her report date of Feb. 27, 2026, at 7 p.m.

Michael Lawhun Sentenced on Drug Possession Charge

Michael D. Lawhun, 38, of New Washington, appeared with attorney Andrew Motter after being indicted on Nov. 4, 2025. Lawhun entered a guilty plea on Jan. 14, 2026, to aggravated possession of drugs, a third-degree felony. He had also been charged with illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a governmental facility, but that count was dismissed.

Judge Sean E. Leuthold sentenced Lawhun to 30 months in prison with 77 days of jail-time credit. He was ordered to pay court costs and to forfeit all drug-related property to the Bucyrus Police Department.
