Crawford County — Voting is officially underway for FreeWire’s 2025 Christmas Lights Contest, and community members still have time to help decide this year’s winner.
Nine festive displays from across Crawford County are competing for the Grand Prize bundle, valued at hundreds of dollars in cash and local gift cards. Public voting is taking place exclusively on FreeWire’s Facebook page through New Year’s Eve.
To vote, Facebook users can visit the album labeled Christmas Lights Contest and click through the submitted photos. Votes are counted by selecting “Like” or “Love” reactions on individual displays pictures. While users are able to react to multiple entries, FreeWire encourages voters to limit reactions to one or two favorites to help ensure a clear winner.
Community members are also encouraged to share the album or individual photos to showcase local holiday spirit and support their favorite displays. However, FreeWire officials note that any entry suspected of using fraudulent methods or automated reactions to manipulate vote totals may be disqualified.
Voting will remain open until 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 31. The display with the highest number of reactions at the deadline will be named the winner, with results announced later that night on FreeWire’s Facebook page.
The Grand Prize package includes a $100 gift card to Suburban Lanes & Entertainment Center and Breezzy’s Pizza in Bucyrus, along with $100 in cash contributed by Randy’s Tire & Auto Repair, Trinity Monuments, and other local sponsors. Additional prizes include a free family photo session with Jami Barlow of Sage + Steel Boudoir, free oil changes from Twisted Intentions Motorsports and Trinco Auto Repair, and a copy of Napoleon Hill’s Financial Success provided by DB Bookkeeping.
Residents are encouraged to cast their votes before the New Year’s Eve deadline and help celebrate the creativity and holiday spirit on display throughout Crawford County.
