NEW WASHINGTON, OH — Two longtime Ohio manufacturers are officially joining forces.
Wurms Diversified Solutions, a contract manufacturer specializing in wood, plastic, and seamless vinyl upholstery components, has announced the completion of its merger with Creative Plastics International, a company known for thermoformed and pressure formed components. The merger becomes effective July 1, 2025.
The move combines 135 years of manufacturing expertise under one roof, with more than 50 employees and 145,000 square feet of production space across Jackson Center and New Washington, Ohio. The Wurm family, who purchased Creative Plastics back in 2009 and has operated both companies ever since, will continue leading the newly combined business.
“In 2009, the Wurm family purchased Creative Plastics Inc and has since operated as Creative Plastics International,” said Gerald Wurm, President of Wurms Diversified Solutions. “The Wurm family also thermoforms plastic components under separate entity Wurms Diversified Solutions, established 1947. Integrating Creative Plastics International into Wurms Diversified Solutions will form a stronger business, drive further growth, spur innovation and improve efficiency thereby creating more value for our customers.”
The new entity will continue operating under two core segments:
Wurms Diversified Solutions:
- Wood Fabrication: CNC cutting, milling, membrane pressing, edge banding, assembly, and more.
- Plastic Fabrication: Thermoforming, CNC trimming, 3D printing, tool building, and precision cutting.
- Upholstery Fabrication: Thermoformed seamless vinyl covers and cushion assembly.
GR Golf (DBA):
- Specialized production of seamless vinyl covers and cushions for golf carts.
