The Crawford County Chamber of Commerce was proud to take part in the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new paved trail at Unger Park, a project made possible through the hard work and dedication of countless individuals and organizations. The event drew an impressive crowd from across the community to celebrate this exciting addition to the Crawford Park District.
State Representative Riordan McClain presented a formal proclamation to Park Director Cole Potts, recognizing the district’s efforts and commitment to outdoor access. Scott Butterworth, Manager of the Division of Wildlife District 2, offered remarks on the evolving wetland landscape and the trail’s environmental significance. City Safety-Service Director Tommy Starner also spoke, sharing the city’s enthusiasm for the project and its potential to enhance recreation and wellness for residents.
