BUCYRUS — The trial of former councilwoman Carolyn Shireman has been rescheduled for October 29, 2025, following a decision by visiting Judge Hall to consolidate her pending criminal cases.
Shireman was originally charged with theft from a protected person — a man with developmental disabilities for whom she served as power of attorney. Additional charges of theft and telecommunications fraud were filed later, related to her operation of the nonprofit Positive Seekers Inc.
The court’s decision to merge the two cases means Shireman will now face all charges in a single trial this fall.
FreeWire will continue to follow developments in the case as the new trial date approaches.
