First, I’d like to thank everyone that voted for me. I congratulate the other candidates who were selected. To the citizens, I will do my very best to educate myself, understand the concerns and will of the people as a whole, and to do what’s best for the community as a whole.
I look forward to working with the other members of council, the administration, entrepreneurs and business owners, and most importantly the people, to ensure the financial viability of our city long into the future. I believe there is room for improvement in the efficiency of operations across the board. Eliminating waste and abuse of tax dollars will be at the forefront of my efforts.
When asked by a constituent how he planned to represent Democrats, Taylor responded: “I’ll represent them and their constitutional rights the same as I will all citizens. My opinion of their political views and or lifestyle doesn’t hold any bearing on the fact they are born with unalienable rights. Also as citizens and taxpayers I am obligated to make decisions that I deem in the best interest of the community as a whole.”
About Robert Taylor:
Taylor grew up in Bucyrus and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1995. Shortly after graduation, he joined the United States Marine Corps and served in the infantry from 1995 to 1999. Today, he works as a commercial glazier for a small company in the Columbus area.
He is a proud father to a daughter who is married to a Bucyrus police officer, and together they’ve blessed him with a beautiful granddaughter. In his free time, Taylor enjoys working out and spending time with his granddaughter.
