BUCYRUS — Two men remain in custody at the Crawford County Justice Center this week following separate arraignments before Judge Sean E. Leuthold on serious felony charges.
Mansfield Man Faces Armed Burglary Charges

Mason Anthony Stoffer, 20, of Mansfield, is facing felony charges after a Crawford County grand jury indicted him for an armed home intrusion earlier this month. Authorities allege that on March 15, Stoffer forced his way into a residence while an occupant was inside.
According to the indictment, Stoffer was in possession of a handgun during the incident and intended to commit a crime. He is also accused of threatening another individual, causing a fear of serious physical harm. Stoffer appeared in court on March 25, where he entered a not guilty plea through his attorney, Ben Kitzler. Judge Leuthold set bond at $225,000. He remains in custody at the Crawford County Justice Center.
Kentucky Man Charged with Online Solicitation

Bennett Helms, 35, of Crestwood, Kentucky, was arraigned on March 23 on charges stemming from an undercover investigation into online solicitation.
Officials allege that between late November 2025 and early January 2026, Helms engaged in inappropriate electronic communication with someone he believed to be between the ages of 13 and 15. The individual was actually a law enforcement officer posing as a minor.
Helms is charged with importuning, a fifth-degree felony. Represented by attorney Bradley P. Koffel, Helms entered a plea of not guilty. Judge Leuthold set his bond at $100,000 with a strict “no contact with juveniles” order. Helms also remains in custody of the Crawford County Justice Center.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. FreeWire will continue to follow these court stories.
