Bucyrus, OH – The Bucyrus City Council welcomes a familiar face back to the Council Clerk’s Office. Kelli Patterson-Tussey, former Council Clerk and Administrative Assistant to former Mayor Jeff Reser, was officially appointed by Bucyrus City Council during a special meeting held on September 4, 2025.
Patterson-Tussey previously served as Council Clerk from 2014 to 2017, having been trained in late 2013 by long-time Council Clerk Regina Zorns. Following her time as Clerk, she transitioned to the role of Administrative Assistant to then-Mayor Reser, where she continued her service to the city.
Bringing over a decade of experience in Bucyrus City Government, Patterson-Tussey’s return comes at a critical time as Bucyrus prepares for the incoming 2026 Council term, which is expected to introduce several new council members. Her institutional knowledge and prior experience are expected to provide stability and continuity during this transition.
Council President Kurt Fankhauser expressed his enthusiasm about her return:
"We’re glad to have Kelli back serving the City of Bucyrus. She is already well-versed in Ohio Public Records Laws, is familiar with the Ohio Municipal League, and has previously completed a variety of trainings that are incredibly valuable to the city at this time."
Patterson-Tussey officially began her duties on September 8, 2025, and will serve as Council Clerk for the upcoming regular council meeting scheduled for September 16, 2025.
