Flemon L. Stone Jr., 75 of Bucyrus went to be with the Lord on Sunday March 2, 2025, at home following a brief illness. Flemon was born July 15, 1949, in Annarnold, Maryland to the late Flemon L. Stone Sr. and Mary M. (Smith) Stone. He married December 24, 1967, to Cora (Fultz) Stone who survives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter in law Irene (Wendy) Stone; great granddaughter Oaklee S. Chance; sisters Ann Oliver, Vernie Baumgartner, Carlon Hurst, and Rosie Butler; and brothers Jimmy and Pete Stone.
Flemon is also survived by children Flemon L. (Destiny) Stone III, Matthew L. (Loretta J.) Stone; Mary S. (Shawn W.) Chance; and David A. (Beth A.) Stone; grandchildren LaTosha (Billy) Kent, Kimberly Stone, Donald Stone, Liana Leeth, Cotannah Wilson, Alexandra Stone, Alissa Reed, Austin Stone, Joshua (Chelsi Newman) Chance, Payton Chance, Trevor Chance, Jade Stone, Malcolm Stone, Anastasia Stone, and Arrianna Stone; 10 great grandchildren; sister Vicki (Bud) Topper; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Flemon owned and operated Stone’s Tree Service for several years and last worked and retired from Asplundh Tree Service. He was a member of Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed going on road trips, train rides, and visiting with friends.
The family will receive friends at the Freewill Baptist Church on Wednesday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. And 1 hour prior to the services, on Thursday at 12:00 pm in the church.
