Jason Lawson, 40, of Bucyrus, Ohio gained his angel wings on Monday May 5th, 2025 after a lifelong battle with his health. Jason was born on July 5th, 1984 in Galion, Ohio to the late Timothy Lawson and Karen (Hull) Lawson of Bucyrus. Jason is survived by his mother, Karen; sisters Tiffany (Joe) Powers and Michelle Lawson; brother Josh (Nicole) Lawson; both grandfathers, Jerry Lawson of Bucyrus and Elton Hull of Waupun, Wisconsin; 8 beautiful aunts and 7 protective uncles residing in Bucyrus, near Pittsburgh, and throughout Wisconsin; ten nieces and nephews and one grandnephew. He has also left behind his fur baby, Roxy, whom he treated as his own child. He is preceded in death by his father Tim, and both his grandmothers, Anna Lawson of Bucyrus and Katherine Hull of Waupun.
His nieces and nephews, both human and fur, were his favorite part of life. He loved to dote on them, spoiling them throughout their lives, giving them snacks and treats (even when he wasn’t supposed to), and picking on them like only an uncle could. He also enjoyed watching The Ohio State University and the Green Bay Packers play football. He spent countless hours trying to spot as many deer as he possibly could. He craved being outdoors and found his true happiness while sitting in a deer stand in Wisconsin. Motorcycles and fast cars also put a big smile on his face, the louder the roar, the better.
Jason graduated from Bucyrus High School in 2002 in which he attended throughout his school career. Jason showed his Redmen pride throughout his life and cheered on all his nieces and nephews in their sports, clubs, and activities. He especially loved the Bucyrus Wrestling Team and Bucyrus Marching Band. He did his best to never miss his brother, Josh and his teammates out on the mats in school and loved to hear about his nephew, Clayten’s match highlights. He took pleasure in going back into the Alex Kish Memorial Gymnasium to watch Mckenze, Ethan, and Rylee graduate. This year would have been a big one with two more graduations to attend as both Kitanna and Christopher were ending their high school chapters. For Miley, Beau, Khiley, Briley, and Crew, his memory will carry on through countless stories of his orneriness, pictures of his big bold smile, and the spot kept open so he can attend all their functions
Funeral services will not be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held closer to his birthday and will be announced when a location and date are set. Memorial contributions may be made directly to Munz Pirnstill Funeral Home.
