BUCYRUS — Clouds hovered above, but nothing could dampen the roar of classic engines or the buzz of community spirit at this year’s Cruisin’ with the Cops event. Held Saturday, June 14, along Sandusky Avenue in historic downtown Bucyrus, the annual car show—hosted by Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #68—once again transformed the heart of the city into a chrome-covered celebration of horsepower and hometown pride.
Despite the all-day threat of rain, the event drew a strong turnout. Car enthusiasts, families, and curious onlookers lined the streets to admire rows of vintage vehicles, chat with local officers, and enjoy food, music, and the occasional tire squeal from a rolling parade of muscle cars.
This year’s Best in Show award went to Dan Barker of Bucyrus, whose stunning 1973 Plymouth Barracuda stood out from the crowd. The Bucyrus Police Department congratulated Barker in a post shortly after the event, recognizing his standout contribution to the show.
The event was made possible thanks to a strong network of volunteers, generous sponsors, and the efforts of local law enforcement. The Bucyrus FOP Lodge thanked all who helped make the day a success and announced next year’s show date: June 13, 2026.
