Bryan A. Rimmer, 30, was arrested on October 24 and made his initial appearance on Thursday, November 6 in Crawford County Common Pleas Court via video link from the Crawford County Jail before Magistrate Timothy Roston.
Rimmer was charged with ten counts of Pandering Sexually Oriented Matter Involving a Minor, each classified as a second-degree felony (F2). His bond was set at $550,000 corporate/surety.
Under Ohio Revised Code 2907.322(A)(1), this charge involves creating, reproducing, publishing, buying, selling, or possessing material that depicts a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
The penalty range for a second-degree felony in Ohio includes a prison term of two to eight years per count and a fine of up to $15,000 per count.
Because the offense involves sexually oriented matter with a minor, it typically includes mandatory prison time (not eligible for community control or probation) and sex offender registration requirements, often as a Tier II or Tier III offender, depending on case details.
Attorney Jerry Thompson was assigned to represent Rimmer, who entered a not guilty plea during his appearance.
