Is Carolyn Shireman Shirking Her Duties?
Over and over I see messages posted on Facebook from one Carolyn Shireman. Many of these messages are insulting citizens of Bucyrus, personal attacks on individuals who do not agree with her, attacking local businesses, and attempting to tear down other elected officials.
Carolyn spouts that she knows the truth and it will be soon be shown, but as of 7 months after I first saw her post that, nothing has been shown by her, except for of course who she really is.
Carolyn claims she speaks for the citizens of Bucyrus, yet publicly calls some fat, ugly and many other hateful names. You do not have to like or even agree with another individual, but the name calling shows nothing but immaturity.
90 days ago I submitted two separate record requests to Carolyn Shireman both of which she refuses to fill. 78 days ago I submitted another, and again she refuses to do her job duties. On December 6th I submitted a request, that she will not even acknowledge. These are requests for public records. Nothing personal, yet on the ones submitted in November she insisted I was harassing her and told me to contact Attorney Andrew Motter.
These requests were all made prior to her current legal issues, when she was supposedly working for us citizens. Shireman was instructed by the city law director to fullfill the record requests, but she didn't care, she didn't want to do them. Every other request I have sent to other council members has been fulfilled without any delay. I offered assistance to Shirman to explain how to forward the records I was requesting, but she insisted she knew how.
At this point even with her sitting home unable to fullfill any in person duties for city council, she should of fulfilled mine, and other record requests. But no she still refuses. Posting memes about Marijuana, and attempting to insult citizens of Bucyrus appears to be more important.
This woman has done nothing for our city, she claims she was never given a chance. I gave her a chance, and this is how a citizen requesting a simple records request was treated by Mrs. Carolyn Shireman. Multiple times she uses my name in posts, and it's obvious this lady does not even know who I am. Just today she claims I'm a sibling to others she has issues with. I have been called names, lied about and she refuses to perform the simpilest of her job duties, absolutely disgusting way to treat citizens.

Everyone knows the only way she even got on council was because she was uncontested. 3 positions, 3 people running, it’s not hard to win that election. Now she is being investigated for misusing funds of an individual who was developmentally disabled who she was supposed to be helping. Instead she is being investigated for misusing a large sum of his money for her own personal gain. As we know in America you are innocent until proven guilty so we will find out once all the evidence is presented. As far as her time on council she was nothing but a distraction. She was physically removed from one meeting and contributed nothing to any of the committees she was on. She actually resigned from every committee where basically all the work of council gets done. Council will be in much better shape without her on it.
